On Monday, the US said it was closely monitoring the developments of the state, to remove Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. A US State Department spokesman said that he appeals that all parties related to the matter should maintain peace and stability on the LoC.

After Article 370 was removed from Jammu and Kashmir, the United States has appealed to all parties to maintain peace and stability on the LoC. Speaking to the media on Monday, US State Department spokesman Morgan Ortagus said that the US is closely monitoring the developments in Jammu and Kashmir after the removal of Article 370 by the Indian government.

Without naming Pakistan, Ortagus said that we appeal to all sides on the Line of Control to maintain peace and stability. When asked about the elimination of special state status of Jammu and Kashmir, he said that we are closely monitoring the incidents of Jammu and Kashmir. We have taken cognizance of the announcement of India's transfer of constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir, and they plan to distribute the state in two union territories.

The spokesman said that India has described the action in Jammu and Kashmir as a purely internal matter. However, during this time he expressed concern over the alleged violation of human rights in Jammu and Kashmir. The spokesman said, "We are concerned about the news of custodial custody (in Jammu and Kashmir) and appeal to the respect of people's rights and discussions with the affected communities."
